Special Ron Arad issue 04/03/10     Hello Dezeen mailing list and welcome to our special Ron Arad-flavoured issue of Dezeenmail! We're proud to be online media partners of the Ron Arad: Restless exhibition, which opened at the Barbican in London last month. To coincide with the show we're hosting a Dezeentalks event at the show on Thursday 11 March and have 100 tickets to give away to our readers. Scroll down for more details about the Dezeentalks and how to win tickets, plus a roundup of our recent stories and movies about Ron Arad on Dezeen.   Dezeen movie: a tour of Ron Arad's studio   Dezeen were commissioned to make four films to coincide with the exhibition. In this first movie the Israeli-born designer shows us around his studio in Chalk Farm, London. Watch the movie » Dezeentalks event: Thursday 11 March   Join us for Dezeentalks at the Barbican’s Ron Arad: Restless exhibition in London next Thursday, 11 March. The event will feature leading design authors talking about their books and will culminate in a discussion about the state of design book publishing today. Speakers are: Sophie Lovell, author of Limited Edition (Birkhäuser) Max Fraser, author and publisher of London Design Guide (Spotlight Press) Henrietta Thompson, author of Remake it Home (Thames & Hudson) Alex Bec and Will Hudson, co-editors and publishers of It’s Nice That The evening will be chaired by Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs, author of Twenty-First Century Design (Carlton Books). After the Dezeentalks, the authors will be signing copies of their books, which will be available for sale. Tickets give access to both the exhibition and the event. The Dezeentalks start at 7pm and the gallery is open until 10pm that evening.
