We've had several requests in the last few days for my up coming schedule and any new that may be out. There is a lot it has been 2 incredible months since our last news letter and we have BEEN VERY BUSY. So here goes, if you are only interested in the shedule skip to the bottom. There have been many questions about the health scares Phil has had recently. To set everyone at ease his ears have recovered except to constant tenitous which is a bother but managable. His left hand recovered to about 90% and he is back to work. THe only loss has been some stretching and his ability to play his wide necked guitars or to play while standing. Thuis is botherswome as he can't lay 2 of his favorite guitars but he is back to work on his full schedule and praising God for a continued recovery. As a result Phil needed to cut his busy schedule a bit. He regrets having to give up playing with the bluegrass band Stillwater Hill but has continued to work in an acoustic band called "Acoustic Couti". They are performing in the ragtime, swing, pop, flavors reminisant to Hot Tuna. He continues to work every third week as the bassist for "Gypsy Joe". "Uncle" Phil Hansen was interviewed a month ago by Chris Lunn and a feature article was published in Ancient Victories this past past month. It was very flattering. Copies can be had at local music stores or by calling Ancient Victories at 253-863-6617. Next: Phil has completed and released "Wake in the Morning" a gospel album I donated to The Summit Evangelical Free Church in Enumclaw where he plays and attends. Copys are available for a $10 donatiojn to church or through Cassandra Music at 360-825-5363. Phil has just finished his next book "The Guitar Instructor 1-2" which is majorly different from my previous instruction manual and have recieved offers for national publication of all of my books. No deals are made but we are looking at the offers. Prototypes of "The Bass Instructor" and "Fingerstyle Guitar" have been assembled and printed. At present they are being edited and the script added. We hope to have them finished by early next year. Advanced copies are available if you're interested. In keeping with what Phil told Chris Lunn of Ancient Victories in the interview he is in the process of recording everything he knows. As we speak he is in the studio and the next album "Acoustic Couti" should be completed this morning or tommorrow with release in early 2011. Finally Phil was approached in early September to be a music instructor at the Seventh Day Adventist Academy. He has subcontracted with them to teach private lessons on Tuesdays and Wednesdays on their music department in Auburn beginning this week. Unlce Phil's up coming performance schedule as a solo or with Acoustic Couti, or Gypsy Joe is: Teaching Schedule All mornings at Cassandra Music Enumclaw Monday Green River Music Auburn 2:30-9:00 Tuesday 9Am-2PM Seventh Day Adventist Academy 4-9PM Mills Music Redmond Wednesday 2-4 Kennelly Keys Southcenter 8-9 Green River College 9:30-12:00 Rehearsal Thursday 1-9:30 Mills Music Issaquah Friday 3-6 Rehearsal Saturday 8-12 Cassandra Music Enumclaw 3-6 Rehearsal The Summit God Bless you all hope to see you soon.
