Hi all,
lots of news and special shows - so let's just jump right in (show details at the bottom of this email)!
NEWS:
1) "Fly the Moon" is featured this month on Seattle's ON HOLD playlist! Our friends Ockham's Razor is also featured.
So go call your favorite City of Seattle department (DMV, City Light, Parks and Rec?) and hope they have an unusually heavy call load... or just go to http://www.seattle.gov/onhold/.
2) Work on the documentary "Corpus Christi: Playing with Redemption" (for which I'm writing & recording all the music) is in full swing and we hope to be sending files for final print in mid-November.
3) I'm back in the studio with Deb Seymour producing the final four songs of her new CD! Deb's soldiered through a challenging year, and it's fantastic that she'll be getting her new songs out to you all soooon. We'll be bringing in old and new friends to help out: William Pint and Felicia Dale, Wes Weddell, Kelly Paletta and Adrian Libertini will be joining us on several tunes!
4) Brushes and a shaker? Val D'Alessio asked me to join her on percussion (yeah, that's right) and vocals for her show at Egan's on November 6th (Egan's is a great venue in Ballard - if you haven't been, go.) Yeah, I don't know what she was thinking either, but with enough pasta and beer, I'll try just about anything. She is also working with a bass player now, so it's a show worth catching!
5) Sagittarian Soup. My friend Ken Beres is turning 40 on a school night (November 30th) and we gonna celebrate with a concert! jean mann & bill corral go on at 8. My group 9-10. Matt Price 10:15. If you or someone you love is a Sagittarian, come join us for a toast. At the stroke of midnight I'll be turning 40, too... or is that 40-two? (This show will be first time band is playing in Seattle - Skylark in West Seattle!)
6) Eddie's Trackside Bar and Grill in Monroe (NEXT WEEK!!!! on November 3rd). - Great place to play, see music and eat and drink. Full band yuckin' it up for a FULL show. Check below for details. We'd love to see all the friends who live up north there! (Be sure to check out their Folklife Fundraiser that they're throwing on November 18th)
7) Milton - another full band show. Produced by Levi Lyon who produced our Jazzbones show - he does a great job. Always fun atmosphere and good! sound. This one is at the Cedarwood Dome in Milton (but really it's right off of I-5 near Fife.
Whew... that's enough for now! Hope to see you in November and have a fun and safe Halloween!!
