Honduras exiled president

Question? Since the ex-president of Honduras has been exiled. He is no longer in office thus he is not completed a term as president. From what I've read does that mean you can now Run for President since he is not currently the president. Does that mean the four year term limit is now reset?  That is how he might be able to petition the Honduras court's.
