| | Hi Scott Ritchie! It's a fantastic day in Kirkland... this evening will be even more spectacular, especially if you call some of your smartest peeps and join us for Quiz Night at the Rover tonight. Not only could your team win some cold hard cash, as an extra incentive - we'll give you a freebie question just for opening this email. (You'll have to look up the answer on your own though!) Drum roll please... "So what Irish solo artist has sold MORE albums worldwide than the super-mega Irish band, U2?" (Yeah, Billy stumped us too with this one, but you'll be able to impress your friends if you come up with the right answer.) See you tonight! | Staff Profile #4 - When you need another Guinness, you can Call on Paul! The man you see here is a familiar face at the Rover. Some folks think he just sleeps in the back, he's here so often. Actually, he's been at the Rover since we opened - and he says he's loved (most) every moment of it! Paul says he loves the high energy of the place, loves the great customers, and loves the staff. Basically, he's just all fulla love, which is why we love him back. A few fun facts about Paul Favorite drink: Belvedere & Tonic Favorite WR band: Author Unknown Favorite band in general: Breaking Benjamin Next time you're in, be sure to give Paul a big high-five. Not only will he give you one back, but will probably flash those pearly whites at you as well! | | | Geoffrey Castle is a rock star, actually he's probably more fun to watch than "real" rock stars the way he plays that violin every Monday night! If you haven't been down to see Geoffrey and his counterpart Dan Connolly in awhile, then really, you should. And we're not just saying that, either. Monday night at the Rover has a fantastic following for a reason. These musicians are world-class, mixing between rockin' and hypnotic, and it's a great way to take your mind off of any stress you might have for the week. Plus it's FREE to get in, so that means you'll have a little extra to enjoy a pint to go along with the music! | Samhain Celtic Arts Festival - Our Samhain celebration during the first week of November is getting closer by the week... and we're pleased to be featuring Seattle favorites the Paperboys and the Clumsy Lovers on Friday the 6th and Saturday the 7th, respectively! Be sure to mark your calendars, and we'll keep updating you on more festivites for that week.
