Angels a war in heaven the book of revelations
it talks about the Angels jealousy over the creation called Man who was created in God's image.
This is important the Devil got to believe That Man wrongfully taking over the number one position in in God's eye. But let's take a step back and look at a Guardian Angel.
A Guardian Angel is given a new human soul watch and tend for. Keep in mind this soul was formed in the image of God. And has the ability to receive the Holy Spirit, the essence of Christ, through baptism and communion. The Angels are classified into only a few categories. But the foremost of them are the few named Archangels. The Archangels generally speaking are responsible to God for their missions.
A Guardian Angel that is successful in getting his charge baptized is now tending a part of God. Doesn't this make all of our Guardian Angels also Archangels. This is not demoting the Angels main job was to praise God. But in fact elevate most of the heavenly host to actively caring for directly God. And the human soul that has listened and learned to love a special friend that God has us to have I am sure will raise the Angel up in praise and glory of God in giving thanks to the wonders and mysteries of this special part of God's love.
The fact of our free will making it a very hard job for our Guardian Angel to help us do the simple thing free will is meant to be used for. Given back to God and his glory and honor forever.
